Britney Graff commits to Northridge

Britney Graff (17-AM Smack) has verbally committed to play for Cal State Northridge. She will be joining a successful program finishing strong every season since coach Jeff Stork took over in 2002. Stork, a three-time All-American at Pepperdine and a three-time Olympian, frequented 951 Elite's summer clinics and quickly singled out Britney as a likely prospect. Britney is the second 951 Elite player to commit to Northridge. Monica McFarland is currently red-shirting with the Matadors and will be the starting Libero next fall.

This video presents a candid moment captured at the Junior Olympics when members of the 18DJ team were asked a simple question, "What does it mean to you to be on this team?" Their answers were nothing simple as they shared personal thoughts and feelings that related how much the club and their teammates had impacted their lives. This short video captures and shares some of the essence that makes 951 Elite such a unique club and why our teams continue to be successful.

951 elite volleyball goes east to new orleans' 504

504 Volleyball

Thank you 504 Elite Volleyball! The week was nothing less than amazing. Seven 951 athletes and four coaches went to New Orleans to hold setter-hitter clinics for the upstart 504 Elite Volleyball Club, a new extension of Temecula's 951 Elite Volleyball. Our players, ranging in ages from 14 to 18 were overwhelmed by the sheer generosity of our hosts and the pure enthusiasm exhibited by the 504 players. For our girls the experience was eye opening as well as they were able to visit neighborhoods still devastated by Hurricane Katrina. They also discovered how rewarding coaching could be, working daily with the young 504 girls. They were very successful in their attempts and both athletes and parents continually expressed their gratitude. One camper, when asked to fill out a survey for her school team the following week, was asked to list the athletes she most admired. Her answer... "Misty May, Cynthia Barboza, & Britney Graff." In truth, however, the campers made just as big an impression on all of us!

951 Elite 2008 Wrap-up

2008 proved to be another landmark season for Temecula's finest 951-Elite Volleyball. Staying true to our vision and goals, twenty-four seniors received collegiate scholarships and will play at the next level. Success on the court reached new levels as well. Three of our teams qualified for the Junior Olympics in the Open Division. This achievement was unmatched by all but the best clubs in the country. The remaining teams were impressive at the Festival as well and left the competition scratching their heads, unbelieving that their best were being beaten by our second and third squads. Just how deep was the talent in our club this year? The 17-RC squad finished an impressive 4th in the 17's division and the 18-SJ team finished 9th overall in the 18's division. 16-DJ finished 15th and the 14-JS 18th. The 16-JE team lit up the competition in their bracket as well and went ten and three on the week, beating several high profile teams from around the country in the process. Overall the season was a tremendous success. What's next? Don't worry... we have even bigger plans in the works for 2009.
